red sands, green gables

Shots from my tour of the Green Gables Heritage Site, and the rolling dunes
and red sands of Cavendish Beach (above) in Central Prince Edward Island.

Like so many who've grown up with a love for Lucy Maude Montgomery's most popular character,
I've always longed to visit the copper shores of P.E.I., wander the sweeping green hills
and see the Lake of Shining Waters.
We didn't see Shining Waters but we did see the Singing Sands beach.
Our maritime adventure is winding down.
Will it be sunny back home?
